issue on the appointment of Bruno Stagno

This item is a tangible example of how sometimes ignorance can lead to wrong views. I'll try to put some perspective on an issue that is delicate, especially since touching a person and an impeccable track record. Bruno Stagno

not "itself", as suggested, and even argued with security, some evil. Could not. A Ambassadors are appointed by law, the Governing Council. And the Governing Council, without the presence of Bruno, worth mentioning, unanimously ratified his appointment. How not to do so if the former foreign minister is a seasoned diplomat and internationally recognized for his ability and integrity?

I'm sure most of those who so lightly have accused Bruno of ethical shortcomings ignore this. Still others may not have the benefit of ignorance, but act maliciously and collect debts in this way so despicable. But the truth is that no abuse of power or anything like that. Bruno Stagno who know know that a person beyond reproach, honesty and integrity.

What is missing? A truly minor. Bruno is accused of having signed the letter which requested the Governing Council cease to Jorge Urbina as ambassador to the UN, appoint to international bodies based in the Netherlands, and appoint himself as UN ambassador. The latter is a failure on the part of Bruno because it would have been better if the letter in question to sign the Vice-Chancellor, but it is not even remotely a breach of ethics, since the application alone is not the appointment, reserved powers, as I indicated before , the Governing Council. It is also said that he formalized the process to finalize the agreement of the Governing Council. Still, this may have been signed by the Vice-Chancellor. But nothing in this more than administrative oversight, never intend to abuse their position. Again, the appointment was made by the Governing Council, not the former foreign minister.

There can be no conflict of interest when the actions that are identified as the cause of the transgression are not giving rise to the "benefit" to the defendant. And here who finally made the appointment was the Governing Council.

As a side note I find very unfortunate the remarks of attorney ethics in the newspaper The Nation today to bring forward criteria on a case that has not been brought before it. One expect more restraint from those who guard the rule of law. Hopefully

ignorance, demagoguery and slander not deprive the country of a foreign representative of the caliber of Bruno Stagno.
